MWDI Supports wāhine Māori and their whānau in business. We provide micro-loans, business coaching & financial capability programmes.
Our commitment to helping our wāhine thrive and succeed in business has seen MWDI Services Suite and migrate our MWDI HineBoss and the MWDI Te Aka Specialist’s to form one network, MWDI Kete o Te Wānanga. This consolidation is to ensure the right support for MWDI clients is provided to further strengthen and accelerate their businesses. This Service Suite is tailored from start to finish to meet the needs and requirements of each individual and their unique businesses. Specialist mentors, advisors and coaches across different fields will be available to MWDI clients.
Services
- We provide loans to Māori women and their whānau to enable and assist them to enter into and commence business and/or to expand and restructure their existing businesses.
- MWDI HineBoss™ is an online course that runs Fri to Sun – 4 hours per day, 2 hours in the morning (9.30am to 11.30am) and 2 hours in the afternoon (12.30pm to 2.30pm), the focus of HineBoss is your business plan. You will meet other pakihi wahine, you will complete at least 80% of your business plan and it is here that we can recommend Te Aka mentors to help you tweak your business and have you in a position to make an application for a loan from MWDI .
- Te Aka provides access to lifecoaching, business mentors and specialist advisors. Depending on your requirements, you will be referred to one of our dynamic Te Aka experts.
- Rangatahi programmes: Māori Women’s Development Inc are pleased to announce that we are able to deliver our MWDI Te Kora Business programs for rangatahi within schools including Te Wero Pakihi 2021 | Te Wero Pakihi 2.0 supporting innovative thinking and entrepreneurship and Hei ō ranga, Wharekura enterprise program.
